Privacy Policy

BellyGOAT · Last updated October 6, 2026

nanoGOAT LLC ("nanoGOAT," "we," "us") makes BellyGOAT, a belly-breathing training app for adults. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your practice stays on your phone. The only thing that reaches us is an anonymous crash report when something goes wrong.

What stays on your device

Your practice sessions, check-ins, journal entries, journey progress, and settings are stored in a database on your device. You don't sign up or sign in. We do not receive this information, and we never sell or share it.

Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device by the app. No server sends them, and nothing about them is sent to us.

What leaves your device

Crash reports, to us, through Sentry. When the app hits an error, it sends a crash report to Sentry, a service we use to find and fix bugs. A report contains technical details such as the error type, a stack trace, the app version, and the device model and operating system version. We turn off Sentry's collection of personal information, screenshots, and screen layouts. As with any internet connection, sending a report exposes your device's IP address to Sentry's servers.

Because a report includes the error message, it can occasionally contain part of whatever the app was saving when the error happened. That can include journal text. We keep crash reports private, use them only to fix bugs, and delete anything personal we find in them.

Your device's own backup, to your platform account. If you use iCloud Backup or Google backup, your device includes the app's database in its normal backup, so a new phone can restore your practice. That copy goes to your Apple or Google account, under their privacy terms, not to us.

What we do not do

Deleting your data

Deleting the app deletes its database from your device. To remove the backup copy, manage backups in your iCloud or Google account settings. To ask us to delete crash reports connected to your device, email hello@nanogoat.io.

Children

BellyGOAT is made for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Health information

BellyGOAT is a breathing-practice app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition, and it does not read data from Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or other health services.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling information differently, for example by adding an account or cloud sync, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top.
